HB 1397 PASSES: tell the Senate to fix it!

HB 1397 - the Florida House implementing legislation - was just approved by the House.

There have been improvements, but make no mistake, this is a bad bill that harms patient access.

The Senate will take up HB 1397 in the next couple of days. Call your Senator NOW and tell them to amend HB 1397 to serve the will of 71% of voters and serve patient access.

There are only three days left to have your voice heard.

Pick up the phone and be heard!

Changing the bill does not serve the people. This is another example if politicians thinking they can use the system to benefit themselves. They are trying to limit the sale of marijuana so they still have a chance to profit. They are ignoring what we the people want! Don’t let them do it. Even if you voted against medicinal marijuana you should stop your senator from using the system for their own profit. This has gone on long enough!

Who rally cares what these aristocratic assholes do? They don’t have enuf time to get any of this passed and we can do whatever we please then. Smoke it, etc. They can’t do a thing about it. Even with their despotic “bill”.

Leave this amendment, which was passed my the voters of Florida, ALONE!! Start fixing some of the other more important issues at hand!!!! Alcohol kills more people than marijuana or cannabis ever ever will! Stop messing with everything in politics to suit your agenda! This stuff was grown in this country and smoked by the Native Indians, the most peaceful people on this earth, way before WE stepped on the ground here. Maybe if more of these politicians smoked/took some our government wouldn’t be in such a historical mess!!

I am a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the shoulders down, and have severe chronic pain and muscle spasms. I am currently waiting for my medical marijuana card to be mailed from the Florida Department of Health. If edibles and vaporizers are not allowed it is not serving the patients who need access to their medicine.

This issue is very personal to me and I vote in every election. I will NEVER support a politician who does not support medical marijuana. A recent poll by Quinnipiac University, found 89 percent support for “allowing adults to legally use marijuana for medical purposes if their doctor prescribes it.” And 71% of Florida voters want this! They spoke by going to the polls and voting for it November 8, 2016. So respectfully, do the will of the people and NOT your special interests!

    Thank you.

HB 1397 is not what we voted for and certainly not what we risked our second amendment rights for speaking for all the avid patriotic american hunters out there.
Marijauna is not a gateway drug it allows people with chronic pain and insomnia sleep and the variety of strains do different things ( for instance I would never use it before driving or hunting and would only use cbd during the day but still not before driving or hunting and at night I need to use a strain with high THC in order for me to be able to sleep. There are mostly responsible people out there that need the full benefit of this amazing medicine that helps so many different ailments and diseases.
We are not perfect people but we deserve safe medicine instead of being physically depended on addictive opiates and anti – imflammatories , nerve pain pills and all the other kidney, liver, and pancreas killing drugs the western medicinal band- aids we recieve now. Please let us live in peace abide the law and have access to the holistic medicine we need so we don’t have to vote different ways in the future or move to other states.
Thanks for your consideration for listening to the voice of the people and not the opisition of the bi- partison majority that will be voting for you next term.

This is why we should vote the elected officials out! Government CORRUPTION OUR elected congress members have been paid off (bribed) by lobbys Big Pharma, Big Alchohol, Mel Sembler, and people against marijuana to vote for HB1397,voting against what the people in Florida 71% voted for. Law suit ? We should put it on ballot next election to vote for recreational MARIJUANA in Florida !!!

Mr. Farmer: I do not use Marijuana but I, like 71% of your voters feel that it is absolutely wrong to keep Cannibus from people who find it’s properties relieving of their medical maladies. I personally know that seizures, autistic rages, even the ability to communicate are benefits from the use of Medical Marijuana. Please, please please, do represent us and we will be following how you vote. Thank you so very much. Barbara Waldon

Mr Steube, please vote to amend and fix HB1397. There needs to be more access for patients and their phisicans. There need to be more dispensaries. Please remember that 71% of Florida voters sent a message to the Florida legislature for a comprehensive and fare medical marijuana amendment. I am shocked that this has become so punitive and restrictive because of the parinoia of a FEW individuals. It is not right to let the bias of some in the house to dictate the way my medical care can be perscribed! I am sincerely hoping that you will vote to make this a more accessible amendment, and know that 71% of the voters of your constituency will be following how you vote.
    Thank you

HB 1397 is just wrong! You are going against 71% of Floridians who voted for medical marijuana. Follow the will of the people, not your PERSONAL feelings about marijuana for medical use. Do your job!!

I did not use “data” for my comment. I was basing it on my own personal experience along with that of many friends. Some of whom are now dead. I started smoking pot in the 70’s and was finally able to quit in the 90’s – Thank God. I tried most every type of other drug that was available during that time. So yes my “data” is accurate and NOT outdated or disproved. In other words I know what I am talking about, Pot is a gateway drug and once you do marijuana regularly you are more inclined to try other drugs and that will lead to opioid abuse for too many people.

HB1397 Is a disgusting piece of trash that flies in the face of a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. What the hell is wrong with you? You haven right to rule over a free people’s lives who voted for the medical use of marijuana. Florida is the only state that has tried to pull something so ridiculous as this. You will never get re-elected.

Gemally Yayhoo … I’d love to see your data on these “first hand” comments. These comments are in direct opposition to the majority of the information that’s available. I’ve been studying this for 10 years and your comments are outdated, wrong, not supported by contemporary information. Get your facts straight.

HB1397 ignores the will of the voters of Florida and either needs to be amended to match the amendment or those voting for it need to be tried for treason for ignoring the will of the voters
